Lawrence E. Oberg, 72, died Feb. 12, 1995, near Farnam. Mr. Oberg farmed his entire life.

He was born Oct. 30, 1922, at Farnam to John and Antonia Johnson Oberg and was a 1940 graduate of Farnam High School.

On Jan. 14, 1950, he married Vivian M. Caster at York.

He was a member of the Farnam Lions Club and United Methodist Church and was a past member of the Farnam School Board.

Survivors include his wife of Farnam; two sons, Dale (Brenda) and Tom, both of Farnam; a daughter, Lorraine (Norman) Heiden of Kearney; a brother, Clarence of Farnam; two sister, Gladys Sukraw of North Platte and Lois Rice of Del Rio, Texas; and five grandchildren.

A sister, Ruby Ulrich, preceded him in death.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Schutt officiating. Burial will be in the Farnam Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.

Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today and Wednesday.

Blase Memorial Chapel of Gothenburg is in charge of arrangements.
