Henry Woodrow Grady Jernigan was a carpenter & farmer. He also served as Justice of the Peace for
many years

Funeral services for Grady Jernigan age, 61, were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Boma Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert DeLozier and the Rev. Oscar Nash officiating. Burial was in the Smellage
Cemetery.
Death occurred Thursday in Cookeville General Hospital following an extended illness with a heart ailment.
A farmer all his life, Mr. Jernigan served for 18 years as a
member of the Putnam County Quarterly Court. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Nola Lowe Jernigan, four sons; Byrd and W. C. Jernigan, Baxter, Rt. 2, G. C. and Henry Jernigan of Detroit, MI; eight daughters, Mrs. Essie Krempkie, Tuscon, AZ, Mrs. Ova Julian, Baxter, Rt. 1, Mrs. Olive Jared, Mrs. Pearl Harris, Misses Judy and Jean Jernigan of Baxter, Rt. 2; Mrs. Doris of Silver Point and many other relatives throughout the county.
