Thelma L (Heinrich) Harthan, 95, of Cohasset, MN passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 in Grand Itasca Hospital & Clinic, Grand Rapids, MN with her family by her side.

She was born May 23, 1921 in Cohasset, MN to Fred and Gladys (Scherf) Heinrich. She married Floyd Harthan on November 8, 1941 in Grand Rapids, MN. Thelma was the last living charter member of West Cohasset Chapel having served as a Sunday School Teacher, an AWANA leader, women’s ministries and many years of planning and serving funeral luncheons. Thelma had a strong faith and prayed for others. She had a passion for missionary work and had a relationship with many of the missionaries that she supported. In her later years she continued to send cards of encouragement and to pray for others. She loved to read, do crossword puzzles, jigsaw puzzles, working with flowers; quilting and traveling, including spending her 90th birthday in Ireland.

She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Harthan in 1997; parents; daughter, Linda Hughes; brothers, Keith, Bill and Jerry Heinrich; and son-in-law, Robert Hughes

Thelma is survived by her daughters, Lois (Dick) Drown of Cohasset, MN; Gayle (Dale) Geisler of Cohasset, MN; sister-in-laws, Bernice Heinrich of Cohasset, MN Betty McKinney of Chandler, AZ; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
