John Lee Carlock, 84, of Inverness, Florida passed away on Friday, December 27, 2013 at New Horizons, in Inverness. He was born on July 1, 1929 in Alpine, Tennessee to the late Porter L. and Marcia (Ledford) Carlock. John was a Refrigeration Technician, and a U. S. Army veteran. He arrived in this area in 2011, coming from Livingston, Tennessee, and attended Cornerstone Baptist Church in Inverness. John enjoyed reading the Bible, and his favorite biblical reference was Psalm 91. Survivors include his loving wife of 22 years, Trelba Carlock. Other survivors include 2 daughters, Margaret E. Carlock of Inverness, and Marcia (Charlie) Rogers of Fayetteville, Georgia; 2 step-sons, Gary (Emogene) Carr, and Tony Carr, of Livingston, Tennessee. 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brother Everel Carlock, and sisters Verda Ledbetter and Helen Barker. Funeral Services will be held in Livingston, Tennesse, with burial at Green Hill Cemetery, Alpine, Tennesse at a later date. Chas. E. Davis Funeral Home with Crematory, Inverness, is in charge of the arrangements.
