Mrs. Burchfield was a native of Newhall, West Virginia who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Giles and Ethel Victoria Lee Dye.
Mrs. Burchfield was a homemaker. She was a member of University Parkway Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Lee Burchfield; one brother; two sisters.
Survivors include: two daughters, Carole Parker and Linda Cox; two sisters, Betty Roberts and Thelma Spence; six grandchildren, Harry F. Parker and his wife Janet, Carroll Tuffy Parker, Robin Humphrey and her husband Tim, Christi Calbot and her husband Mike, Carla Snyder and her husband Butch, and Roger Buzz Cox and his wife Kara; six great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren.
The graveside committal service for Mrs. June Dye Burchfield will be conducted at 2:45 PM Thursday, May 1, 2014, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Rev. Matt Cloyd will officiate. Active pallbearers will be grandsons and great grandsons. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 2:35 PM Thursday.
