Peter Hosier

Peter Hosier, 71, of 49 Pine St., Saranac Lake died Wednesday noon at Saranac Lake General Hospital. He came to Saranac Lake 35 years ago, had been a section man on the railroad and retired in 1960. He was a member of the Railroad Brotherhood.

Mr. Hosier was bom May 7, 1895 in Dannemora, a son of Nelson and Marceline Garro Hostler. His wife, the former Cecelia Tebo, whom he married in Malone on Feb. 13, 1923, survives.

Other survivors are four sons, Gifford, Richard and Floyd of Saranac Lake and Leslie of Schenectady; four daughters, Mrs. Pearl Brewster of Vermontville, Mrs. Clyde Fletcher of Dion, Mrs. Janet Bloom of Saranac Lake and Mrs. Agnes Blaise of Southernton, Conn.; 19 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He also is survived by three brothers, Julius of Lake Placid, Dolphus and Leo of Malone; two sisters, Mrs. Delia Rivers and Mrs. Josephine Rosseau of Malone and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fortune Funeral Home where the Rosary will be said et 8 p. m. Friday. The Funeral Mass will be offered at 9 a m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Church. Interment will be in May in ST. Bernard's Cemetery.
