Mrs. Giebler died Monday morning in St. John’s Rest Home, Victoria.
She was predeceased by both her first husband, Peter A. Meis in 1916, and her second husband, Joseph A. Giebler on March 14, 1953; by a son Albert, who died in infancy; a son, Virgil, killed during World War II; four sisters, one brother, one stepdaughter
Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Celestina) Orth of Manitowoc, Wis., Mrs. Richard (Justina) Keberlein of Hays, Mrs. Peter (Lucille) Weigel of Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Ben (Angie) Billinger of Victoria; two sons, Servillian Meis of Pratt and Edwin Meis of Catherine; three stepsons, James F. Giebler, Edmund Giebler and Theodore Giebler, all of Hays; four stepdaughters, Mrs. Seraphine Haas, Mrs. Hyacinth Miller, both of Menasha, Wis., Sr. M. Majella, C.S.A., Hays, and Mrs. Cyrilla Goetz, Casper, Wyo.; 19 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 44 stepgrandchildren; three borthers, August Weigel, Albert Weigel, both of Hays, and Val Weigel of Gorham; and three sisters, Mrs. John Haberkorn of Denver, Colo., Mrs. Tony Kinderknecht of Loveland, Colo., and Mrs. Frank Bittel of Gorham.
Mrs. Giebler was a member of the Christian Mothers of Catherine. Two rosaries will be said. The first at 8 a.m. Wednesday by St. Fidelis Circle, Daughter of Isabella, Victoria. The second at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Hays Daughters of Isabella. Both will be held in Brock’s North Hill Chapel.
