He was born November 10, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of the late Charles E. and Ethel Elizabeth Rush Funk.
He graduated from Waynesburg High School. Mr. Funk majored in music at Duquesne University and also obtained a degree from West Liberty University. He was a teacher.
He loved music, football and hockey.
Mr. Funk was Baptist.
There will be no public visitation.
The committal service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 28, in Greene County Memorial Park, 1003 Jefferson Road, Waynesburg.
