Cleo (Parsons) Goins Wagoner was born February 12, 1895 in Independence, Virginia to Thomas and Netta (Ward) Parsons. She departed this life December 27, 1985 in Los Angeles, California where she has relocated to be with her daughter, Myrtle, at the age of 90 years, 10 months and 15 days.
Her siblings included Ada, James, Laura, Fred, Anna, Larry and Bruce.
In 1908, she was united in marriage to Benjamin Goins and to that union three children were born Selma, Myrtle, and Zeb. Ben was died August 29, 1927 in a coal mining accident.
On March 26, 1945 Cleo united in marriage to Glenn Wagoner and they relocated to Columbus, Ohio. She became "Mama Cleo" to Glenn's children.
Cleo was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. To know her was to love her.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Glenn Wagoner and Benjamin Goins; son, Zeb Goins; daughter, Selma Goins; stepsons, Kelbie Hash, Ruben Hash, Robert Hash; step-daughters, Beulah Jackson, and Lora Wagoner.
Cleo was survived by her daughter, Myrtle, step-daughters Valinda Cotton, Annie Lee Reeves; stepson, Paul Wagoner, many grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
