He was a member of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed church and Mountain City Lodge No. 29 K of P. For 33 years he had been employed by the H&F Rwy Co. and the Potomac Edison Co., and most of that time was a motorman.
Surviving his are these sons and daughters: Austin C. Hoffman, Mrs. C. Earl Hahn, Lee F. Hoffman, all of Frederick; Mrs. Thurman Ohler, Middletown; Corp. Robert L. Hoffman, Camp Phillips, Kan; and five grandchildren.
Services were held at the M.R. Etchison & Son Funeral Home; interment in Middletown Reformed Cemetery.
