Mary Gretchen Steck was born February 17, 1942 in Dallas, Texas, and to Daniel and Katie Mae Bardwell Steck; and passed away February 21, 2016 in Kyle, Texas. She grew up in Dallas, then lived in Lewisville, Texas for many years.
Gretchen earned her bachelor's degree from Sam Houston State University and worked in banking and finance until she retired in 2007. Afterwards, she traveled extensively all over the country. She enjoyed learning about unusual topics, especially twins, unusual names, and food. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, and games.
Gretchen was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Beverly Janice Huckabee. She is survived by her four nieces; and their children.
