Hayes, William J. Jr., Age 82, passed away November 17, 2016. He was born and raised in Nashville, TN.

Proceeded in death by mother, Lennie Edna Cavnar; father, William J. Hayes, Sr.; sisters, Louise Nell, Bernice Fuqua, Carlene Cobb, Cornelia Roth, Maybelle Wall, and son, William J. " Bubba" Hayes III.

Survived by wife of 59 years, Georgia Lee Bucy Hayes; children, Pamela (David) Bowden, Michael (Sherry) Hayes, Debra (Joe) Banning, Mark (Lisa) Hayes, David (Terry) Hayes, and daughter-in-law, Gwen Hayes; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren; sister, Thelma Alexander.

He retired in Norfolk, VA from the U.S. Navy as Master Chief serving our country in Korea and three tours of Vietnam. After retiring, he owned his own construction company for seventeen and a half years. Later working for I.T and T. Henzie and Moon Engineering.

He was a loving husband and father for 59 years and devoted Christian. He loved reading his Bible daily and most of all, loving his family.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 22, 4-8pm and 11 until noon on Wednesday, November 23, with the service at noon at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd. Military Honors will commence Immediately following the graveside service at Spring Hill Cemetery.

Family will serve as pallbearers.
