SECOND CHILD IN BLACK FAMILY DIES DIPTHERIA
Harriet Black, 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Black of 231 West Third Street died yesterday morning of diphetheria making the second death in that family from the disease within the last week.
Dr. W. L. Samuels, city health physcian, reports that Mrs. Black developed diphtheria yesterday.
There are but seven cases of diphtheria in this city, according to Dr. Samuels. Four of them have been in the Black family and others scattered. He is confident that the threatened epidemic is now well under control, and that it will not spread further.
