Son of Samuel Lapp and Esther Hershey, brother of Christian Lapp. Husband of (1) Mariah Brubacker, (2) Nancy Hiestand. Father of Elias, Nathaniel, Emanuel, Naomi (Harry), Benjamin, Anna and Samuel. Benjamin was a Mennonite preacher. He was born in Welland Co., Ontario, grew up in Freeport, IL, moved to Cherry Box, MO in the 1860s, and to Frontier Co., NE in the 1880s.
