Opal I. Gettman, 78, of Salem died Monday. She was born in Shelbyville, Missouri. She has been a Salem resident for more than 65 years and was a secretary for Stores Collection Bureau. She was a member of the Eagles and IOOF auxiliaries. Survivors include her daughters Jeanne Eden of Salem and Kathryn Failmezger of Milwaukie; and sisters Dorothy Frahm and Leota Myers, both of Salem, and Lucille LeBaudour of Santa Clara, Calif. Services will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday in Belcrest Chapel. Entombment will follow in the mausoleum. Arrangements by Barrick mortuary, Salem.
