Rev. Bushrod Shedden Taylor was the eldest son of Rev. Henry Boardman and Julia Matilda (Shedden) Taylor. Oletha Electa (Horton) Taylor was his 1st wife. They were married Sand Lake, Rensselaer Co., New York May 22, 1878. Oletha died in 1894. Lillie Estella (Cunningham) Wood Taylor was his 2nd wife. They were married March 19, 1895. Lillie died February 28, 1924. Rev. Taylor was a minister in the Nebraska Conference and Troy Conference of the Methodist Episcopal Church. He was a missionary to Panama and Chaplain to the Panama Canal Company. He was nominated for Congress by the Prohibition Party. He later became nationally known as an evangelist in The Holiness Movement (Holy Roller). Rev. Taylor died of general arteriosclerosis/chronic myocarditis.
