Katie's parents and Demain's parents along with their dependent children and most of their married children are found in Lexington in the 1900 census.
Demain was a farmer and laborer. Katie and Demain had the following children:
1. Lydia A. Gordon, who married 1st Michael Payne and 2nd Richard Manske.
2. Hiram B. Gordon ~m~ Gertrude Dodge (sister of Minnie Dodge who married Alvin A. #3 below).
3. Alvin A. Gordon who married 1st Minnie E. Dodge (she was the mother of his children.), and 2nd Mrs. Bessie Taylor.
4. John H. "Jack" Gordon ~m~ Lena M.
5. Florence M. Gordon ~m~ 1st Delis D. Van Zante; married 2nd Lee Thresher.
After the death of her first husband Demain, Kate moved to Colorado with her children. Kate married for a 2nd time to Frank Signorette, on February 25, 1907 in Greeley, Weld County Colorado. Frank died of appendicitis just a few months later in the Fort Collins hospital on June 12, 1907. In the 1910 census, Kate Signorette is recorded a widow, living with daughter Florence Gordon; daughter Lydia Payne; son-in-law Miles Payne; son John Gordon; grandchildren Eva & Harold Payne in Fort Collins Ward 2, Larimer County, Colorado.
On May 30, 1910 Kate's father died. In his obituary she is recorded as "daughter Mrs. Katie Gordon of Fort Collins, Colorado". I have not located a 1920 or 1930 census for Kate. In the 1940 census, she is using the surname Gordon and living with her son-in-law Delis VanZante, and his wife (her daughter) Florence and their son Norman. Also living in the household is Kate's granddaughter Darlene Manske (daughter of Kate's deceased daughter Lydia (Gordon) Payne Manske.
Kate died in Orange County, California and is buried in the same plot with her daughter Florence Van Zante Thresher, son-in-law Delis Van Zante, and grandson Norman Van Zant.
