At his home in Bonaparte, Iowa, Monday, March 21st, 1892, of pneumonia, Samuel P. Davis, aged 37 years. The funeral services occurred at the Baptist church, Wednesday afternoon, Rev. McMasters officiating.
A wife and six children, four boys and two girls, are left to mourn the loss of a kind and loving husband and father. A sweet baby girl of only two months, will never know the warmth of that father's heart.
Mr. Davis was a hard working, honorable man, and had the esteem of many people who will revere his memory, and deeply feel that a good man has been removed from their midst.
