obituary - One of the early settlers of this county, died at his home in Cedar Lake. He was born in Racine county on January 1, 1843 and nine years later moved with his parents to Lind. In 1869 he was married to Miss Sarah James, sister of George H. James, who died in 1887, leaving four children; Wilbur B., who manages the farm, Emma who has taught school in Waupaca; George, who is attending school here this winter, and Clara. For his second wife Mr. Hobson married Mrs. Mary Padgham, who with three children, Elizabeth, William and Charles survive him. Buried Vine Hill cemetery or Cedar Lake.
