In 1905, he founded the Eagle Council 142, Jr. O.U.A.M. in Spring Valley, NY and in 1955 he was honored at a testimonial dinner for 50 years of service.
While working in Pearl River, Uncle Adolph was shot in the leg during a robbery of the Pearl River National Bank in December of 1921.

Adolph Miller
Adolph Miller of 111 Berthoud Street, Park Ridge, died yesterday.
Mr. Miller is survived by his wife, Anna, a daughter, Mrs. Donald Greisch; five sons, Wells, Floyd, Albert and Adolph Miller and Ralph and Andrew Bondeson; a brother Otto Miller; a sister, Mrs. John Stead and 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 1:30 pm at the Robert Spearing Funeral Home, Park Ridge. Interment will be in the Fairvew Cemetery, Fairview, NJ.
