Agnew was a veteran of the US Navy.
Agnew was a retired service technician and was employed by General Telephone Company for 37 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church serving there as a deacon. A retired member of the Olney Volunteer Fire Department, he was a member of the Lions Club and the Odd Fellows Lodge. He was past president of Olney Little League Association.
Survived by his wife; two sons - Ronald Agnew of Okmulgee, OK and David Agnew of Olney; one daughter - Kristy Nix of Austin; one brother - Walter Agnew of Prescott, AZ; three sisters - Opal Lovell of Olney, Hazel Hardy of Roby and Faye Largent of Plano; three grandchildren.
