This picture from Herbert & Ernest's niece, now about 93 years old. Although a very young child she remembers her grandfather driving the wagon & mules to Water Valley to meet the train carrying their bodies, bringing them home, and their funeral at Mt. Moriah, I think in 1922 or 23 (would have to check). The men in the community took turns carrying the coffins as they walked from the home to the church. It was an Easter Sunday.
