Ida was the oldest child and daughter of Seaborn McDaniel and Sidney S. (Burdette) Denson. She married Thomas Lewis McCoy on 11 September 1892. There were ten children born of this marriage: Margaret (Maggie), Otis Leon, Iva Estell, Seaborn Otto, Lacy Lougillah, Charles Wesley, James Russell, Joseph Lowell, Eunice Lois, and Tula Inez McCoy. She is buried at Pisgah Cemetery where her husband, parents, three brothers (Seaborn Ivy, James Thomas, and Robert), and two children (Seaborn Otto and Eunice Lois) are also buried. After her husband died in 1929, she married a Mr. Drew, date and location unknown, who died in Florida prior to her death.
