Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbus, with the Rev. Wayne Nestor officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Evergreen Cemetery in St. Edward.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. today at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus continuing 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday with a 10:15 a.m. family prayer service at the church
Leona M. Siebler was born Sept. 22, 1918, in Shenandoah, Iowa, to John Henry and Amelia (Vette) Tiemann. She grew up in Boone County. Leona married Henry "Hank" Jensen on April 27, 1940. The couple lived in St. Edward, where she worked at the Albion Creamery and the Farmer's Union Association. The couple moved to Columbus in 1952 where she worked at JC Penney for 31 years. Hank died on Jan. 31, 1970. On Nov. 27, 1982, Leona married Arno Siebler. Arno died Jan. 19, 2003. Leona was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, and the American Legion Auxiliary in St. Edward.
She is survived by her son, Kalvin (Corrine) Siebler, of Davenport, Iowa; son, Gary (Cindy) Siebler, of Pretty Prairie, Kan.; daughter, Gloria (Lloyd) Sell, of Fremont; daughter, Karen Rinehart, of Albion; sister, Helen Iseral, of Suffex, La.; sister, Dorothy Johnson, of Council Bluffs, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her first husband, Hank Jensen; second husband, Arno Siebler; father, John Henry Tiemann; mother, Amelia Tiemann; six brothers; three sisters; and two great-grandchildren.
