PETERSON-BLANKENHORN
The marriage of Miss Emma Peterson, grand-daughter of R. Evans Peterson of Markham street, and David F. Blankenhorn, of Pasadena, was solemnized yesterday at noon by Bishop Johnson, in the private chapel at his home on South Grand avenue, in the presence of immediate relatives only.
Christmas greenery adorned the chapel and the altar was massed with white roses. The bride approached the altar leaning on her grandfather's arm, and her only attendant was her sister, Miss Anne Peterson who wore a gown of white cashmere and a picture hat trimmed with white roses. The bride wore a gown of ivory white satin with garniture of rose point and her veil was caught with orange blossoms. She carried a white ivory-bound prayer-book, while her maid of honor carried a shower of white roses.
Mr. And Mrs. Blankenhorn left last evening for a three weeks' wedding journey. They will occupy the new home built for them recently on California Terrace.

David Fergusen Blankenhorn was married three times:
1) On Dec. 28, 1909 in Los Angeles, CA., to Emma Bouvier Childs Peterson, by whom he had two sons, David and John. They divorced in 1925 and Emma married second, Maurice Wells.
2) On April 6, 1927 in Del Monte, Monterey, CA., to silent film & talkies actress Irene Rich (born Irene Frances Luther), (b. 1891 & d. 1988). (He was her third husband. They filed for divorce on Oct. 30, 1931 and were divorced in Nov. of that year.)
3) On May 28, 1947 in Pasadena, CA. to Mary Sandway. Mary was previously married to Rae Habersham Rogers (#18151485 ) who died in 1935 in Santa Barbara, CA.

David and Emma's children were:
1) David Phillips Blankenhorn, b. Sep. 11, 1910 in L. A. Co., CA. and d. Mar. 23, 1992 in L. A. Co., CA.
2) John Stevens Blankenhorn, b. Aug. 31, 1913 in Pasadena, L.A. Co., CA. and d. Mar. 25, 1998 in Nevada City, Nevada Co., CA.

He was the president of Pacific Coast Bond House and Blankenhorn Hunter Co. in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Pasadena. He was claiming exemption from the draft because he had a wife and two children dependent on him for their sole support.
David was described as tall and slender, with blue eyes, brown hair, and no physical disability that would prevent him from serving in the military.

In his March 7, 1921 U.S. passport application, David was described as 34 yrs. old, 5'11' tall, high forehead, blue eyes with glasses, high forehead, straight nose, straight mouth, round chin, brown hair, fair complexion and oval face. He was living at 1250 So. Orange Grove Ave. in Pasadena, CA.

To Mrs. Emma B. C. Blankenhorn, a divorce was granted yesterday in San Francisco by Superior Judge Logan from David F. Blankenhorn - Fairmont Hotel, an investment broker.
