Alice Rose Stevenor, 87, passed away Saturday, September 17th, 2011 at her home in Boise, Idaho.

Born February 24, 1924 in Summum, IL, to Floyd E. and Viola (Bricker) Danner, she married Gerald L. Stevenor on May 1, 1947 in Canton. He died July 28th, 1994.

Surviving are her children, Jay C. Stevenor (Brenda) and Janice Stevenor Dale (Scott); her grandchildren, Zachary W. Stevenor, Micah Rose Stevenor and Dashiell Dale.

Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband, brothers, Eugene Danner and Richard Danner, and sisters, Thelma Carpenter and Marjorie Peters.

Alice worked for International Harvester prior to her marriage. Alice and Jerry raised their two children while living in Wee-Ma-Tuk. Alice was a member of the Women's Christian Fellowship and a Sunday school teacher at the First Christian Church of Canton.

Alice was an exceptional seamstress and shared her talents with many of her family and friends.

She was an avid golfer and a member of the Womens Golf Association at Wee-Ma-Tuk Country Club and also Santa Rita Country Club. In 1984 Alice and Jerry retired to Tucson, Arizona and enjoyed many years golfing, traveling, and organizing World War II Quartermaster Reunions.

After Jerry's passing, she moved in with her daughter and family in Los Angeles in 1995.

In 2003 she moved to Boise, Idaho with her daughter and family and has enjoyed six years living at the Wynwood at River Place, a retirement community in Boise, where she developed many wonderful friendships, like those with Butch, Hazel and Jean.

Cremation rites have been accorded with Summers Funeral Home, Boise, ID. A memorial service is planned, date pending.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Canton, IL, 215 W. Elm St. Canton, IL and/or Boise Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure 1412 W. Idaho St. Boise, ID 83702 .
