Obituary:

Herman James Randall passed away quietly at home on August 26, 1998.
Born May 4, 1909 in Ogden to Edward and Vivian James Randall. Married Elsie Throckmorton Randall who passed away in 1980. Married Irene Deakin Berg Throckmorton July 22, 1981. Herman operated his own business, Randall's Body and Paint Shop for years. He was a very hard working man who took pride in his work and was particular about detail.
He was a loving, caring man who always was available for counsel to anyone. His courage with his illness in the past few months is only surpassed by his wonderful smile and sparkling blue eyes, and how meticulous he was about his appearance.
He was a High Priest in the LDS Church and served a mission in the southeast United States and two missions at home with his wife, Elsie.
Survived by his wife, Irene; two daughters, Joyce (Marvin) Noyce; Barbara Schultz; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; two step-children, Peggy (Mac) Ray, Maynard John (Kris) Berg; nine step-grandchildren; and seven step-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Elsie; parents; and stepfather, Frank Supp.
A special thanks to the friends at hospice and to Dr. George Van Komen.
Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates, 3115 East 7800 South (Bengal Blvd.) Funeral service will be held Saturday, 1 p.m. at the Mount Olympus 5th Ward, 3510 South 3640 East. There will be a one hour prior viewing at the ward Saturday.
