LOUIS WEAR
Services were held Jan. 3, 1970 at the Christian church in Nortonville for Louis Wear 78. The Rev. Millard White officiating. Burial was in the Nortonville Cemetery. The Hagg funeral home in Valley Falls was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wear died Dec. 31, 1969 at Farmington, Minn. after a short illness. He was a long time resident of Nortonville moving to Farmington two years ago.
Mr. Wear was born June 20, 1891in the state of Nebraska, a son of Rankin and Serene Wear. He and the former Bessie DeLand were married July 9, 1909 at Farnan, Neb. She died in 1958.
He was a veteran of World War I, member of the VFW at Farmington and a member of the Nortonville Christian church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ethel Tomlinson, Kennewick, Wash.; two sons, Rayfield Wear, Farmington, Minn. and Archie Wear, Philadelphia, Pa.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Haven, Caldwell, Idaho; a brother Will Wear, Fort Dodge, Ia. 23 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Dick Lindsay, Willard Clinkenbeard, Earl Stillman, Andrew Anderson, Clan Leighton and Ira E. Bond were pallbearers.
