Rowena A. Dixon, 66, of 110 Tenth St., a lifelong resident of Marion, died May 12 in a Cedar Rapids hospital following a sudden illness. She was born the daughter of Frank and Millie Lochner Coon on Dec. 6, 1911 at Marion. On Aug. 24, 1942 at Waterloo, she was married to Floyd Dixon who died May 12, 1963 at Cedar Rapids.
Surviving are a son, Roberg Burgess of Marion; a daughter, Mrs. Noel (Ruth) Arbuckle of Savanna, Ill.; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Mabel) Raetz of Central City and Mrs. Howard (Ethel) Heath of LaCrescenta, Calif.; and three brothers, Merle Coon and Kenneth Coon of Cedar Rapids, and Paul Coon of Denver, Colo. She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Coon.
Services were held at 11 a.m. May 15 at the Murdoch Chapel in Marion, conducted by the Rev. Charles Moore. Interment was in Oak Shade cemetery.
