Mrs. T. W. Macaulay, a former resident of Calistoga, died at French Gulch, Shasta County last Saturday. There are no particulars at had regarding the cause of her death. Mrs. Macaulay was an elderly lady and when here, lived on Berry Street, opposite the school house. The funeral took place in Redding on Monday.
Married July 21 1879 in Yreka, CA. Oro Fino is just next door to Fort Jones which are all in Scott Valley. After gold mining in the Siskiyou Mountains, Mary & her husband Thomas moved from Oro Fino to Calistoga to retire as it was known for its healing waters. They lived at 1322 Berry Street in Calistoga. She moved up to French Gulch for her remaining 3 years to be near her brother Fremont.
