Benjamin Franklin Downard, 87 , died Monday in Belle Plaine, where he had moved a short time ago from Stockport.
He was born October 13, 1860, near Stockport, the son of Mr. And Mrs. Ephriam Downard.
His wife, Katherine, died in 1935. He leaves two sons, Boyd E. Downard of Canton Ohio; and Ross of Sioux Falls, S. D.; two daughters, Mrs. Billy Pell of DesMoines and Mrs. Mildred Logan of San Bernadino, Calif.; three brothers, John of Keosauqua, Charles of Bloomfield and J. J. of Fairfield; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Mellen and Miss Elizabeth Downard both of Stockport.
Funeral services were held at 10:30 a. m. Thursday, April 8, at Miller chapel, near Stockport. Burial was in the nearby cemetery.
