Son of Edward Bridge and Eleanor M. (Moore) Bigelow.

On 12 Jul 1861 Thomas mustered into service with Company G, of the 15th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, being credited to the quota of Grafton, Massachusetts. He was 18 years, 9 months and 16 days old.
On 26 Aug 1863 he was transferred to the Veterans' Reserve Corps.

He ended his service with Company C, 9th V R C as a Corporal by mustering out on 11 Jul 1864.

On 8 Jun 1870 Thomas, 27, married Louisa Savage, daughter of Isaac and Huldah (Pollard) Kingsley, at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the widow of one John A. Savage, Jr.

About 1879 Thomas and Louisa moved to Illinois, eventually settling in Chicago.

She died, and in 1901 he married second Marjorie R. Moxhon.
