A longtime resident of Hoisington, she was a homemaker. Clementine was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was also a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary #7428 of Hoisington. She loved to crochet and cross stich, gardening, cooking, and canning. Mostly she enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
On May 7, 1951, she married Lynn D. Shives in St. Peter, Kansas. He preceded her in death on August 18, 2008.
Survivors include; three sons, William J. Shives, Ronald Lynn Shives and wife Nancy, all of Hoisington, James L. Shives and wife Anita of Hurricane, Utah; sister, Rosalie Fabricus of Great Bend; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and one on the way; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Charles, Alvin, and Edmond Billinger; and two sisters, Mary Miller and Barbara Knoll.
Friends may call 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, with Vigil and Altar Society Rosary at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, celebrated by Father Anselm Eke. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery.
