---- Born April 16, 1913, in Tift County, he was the son of John Abbott and Anna Poole Abbott, both deceased.
He was a life-long rsident of Tift County and was a member of Vanceville Congregational Christian Church. He served as minister of Poplar Arbor Congregational Christian Church and had been the minister of Vanceville Congregational Church for many years. He was a past president of the Retired Teachers Association.
Bowen Donaldson Home for Funderals was in charge of arrangements.
