Mrs. Alexander was born Nov. 10, 1913, in Dillon County, a daughter of the late Mitchell Rembert Proctor and the late Mary Susan Hamilton Proctor. Mrs. Alexander retired from American Tobacco Co. as a cigar maker.
Surviving Mrs. Alexander are two brothers, Mitchell Proctor of Marion and David Proctor of Tenn.; two sisters, Patricia Bunch of Surfside Beach and Susie Bell of Durham, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in Rose Hill Cemetery, the Rev. Joe Proctor and the Rev. Jim Bell officiating. The services will be directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Visitation will be held 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
