Betty Ruth (Andrus) Andrews, 79 of Trout, Louisiana was received into Heaven on Thursday, July 5, 2012.
She was born to the union of Joseph Lee and Belle K. (Morgan) Andrus on Thursday, May 25, 1933 in Saint Landry, Louisiana.
She was a retired school teacher, and a member of Delta Kappa Gamma, Faith Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Jena, Town & Country Garden Club, La. Retired Teachers Association and LaSalle Council On Aging.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Jean J. Andrews; son, Eddy Andrews of Trout, LA.; daughter, Melanie (Andrews) Shepard & husband Brian of Destrehan LA.; one grandson, Jarvis Lee Andrews; one brother, Robert Andrus & wife Margret of Bee Branch, AR.; and her sister, Eleanor White of Bunkie, LA.
Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents, and four brothers, Howard Andrus, J.D. Andrus, Homer Andrus and Wilfred Andrus.
The family will receive friends at Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home of Jena on Friday, July 6, 2012 at from 6:00PM until 9:00PM and from 8:30 until time of service on Saturday.
Services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Chapel of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home with the Rev. Dominick DiCarlo officiating.
Mrs. Andrews will be laid to rest in the Belah Cemetery, Trout, LA. under the directions of Kinner & Stevens Funeral Home.
Serving as pallbearers, Wendell Wilson, Dick Zeagler, Joe Johnston, Jim Andrews, Kirby Dayton, and Dennis Warwick.
Memorials may be made in her name to the LaSalle Council On Aging.
