WILTON--Arvella L. Atwill, 86, died Thursday at the Simpson Memorial Home, West Liberty.
Services are Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Wilton Grace United Church of Christ. The Rev. Robert J. Davis May will officiate. Deb Moore will be organist. Burial will be at the Oakdale Cemetery.
Visitation is Sunday from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Lacock Funeral Home, Wilton, and Monday from noon until service time at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Wilton Libary fund.
She was born Oct. 14, 1901 at Muscatine, a daughter of James and Cora Funk Atwill. She was a member of the Wilton United Methodist Church since 1919. The 1924 graduate of Iowa Methodist School of Nursing, Des Moines, had served as an American Red Cross nurse as well as nursing at various hospitals throughout the country and was Wilton's school nurse for five years.
Survivors include cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
