Services for Charles J. Behnke , 84, formerly of 109 Hillview Drive, North Syracuse, who died Saturday at a local nursing home, will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Sears-Middleton Funeral Home. Burial will be in North Syracuse Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, 209 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Mr. Behnke was a life resident of North Syracuse. He retired in 1970 from Crouse Hinds, where he had worked for 48 years. His wife, Florence, died in 1980.
Surviving are a daughter, Florence "Trudy" Norton of North Syracuse; a brother, Robert of Clay; four sisters, Anna Reed of Jamesville, Marie Fisk of Pennellville, Margaret Smith of Liverpool and Norma Santy of Westvale; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Contributions may be made to Syracuse Home Association, Baldwinsville.
