Peggy Alexander, 81, of Milton, DE and formerly of Frederica, passed away peacefully in the comfort of her son and daughter-in-law's residence on Wednesday, August 14, 2013.
Born on October 29, 1931 at home in Middletown, DE, she was the daughter of the late Lester and Mollie (Reed) Biddle.
Peggy worked for many years at George's Sub Shop in Middletown and later for Gonce's Luncheonette in Townsend.
She loved going to yard sales and was especially fond of all animals.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles Alexander, Jr.; grandson, Brandon Klase; two sisters, Agnes Thompson and Betty Jo Garrett and a brother, John Biddle.
Peggy leaves many fond memories to her son, William "Bill" Alexander and his wife, Kim; daughter, Peggy Lynn Alexander; three sisters, Edith Chas, Thelma Stanley and Marie Gonce; brother, Lester Biddle; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held noon on Tuesday, August 20 at Daniels & Hutchison Funeral Home LLC, 212 N. Broad Street, Middletown, DE, where friends may visit with her family one hour prior. Interment will follow in Townsend Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to her family to assist with funeral expenses.
