KOONTZ LAKE - Virginia M. Anhold, 88, of Koontz Lake, IN passed away Wednesday, June 9, 2010 in the home of her daughter in Schererville.
Mrs. Anhold was born May 7, 1922 in Illinois to Tobias and Lena Bol and lived at Koontz Lake for 30 years, coming from Merrillville.
On June 28, 1980 in Crown Point she was married to Albert Anhold who preceded her in death. Previously, she was married to John Stephen.
Survivors include three daughters, Peggy (Fred) Jones of Schererville, Diana (Bob) Rakoczy of South Bend and Ella Stephen of Crown Point; four grandchildren, Mike (Celeste) Jones, Laura (Joe) Mendoza, Bill (Shelly) Rakoczy and Heather (Pat) Russell; two great-granddaughters, Jessica Mendoza and Alissa Jones; step-daughter, Marsha (Joe) Jacobson-Guba; step-son, Gordon (Cathy) Anhold and two step-grandsons, Johnathon and Nicholas.
Mrs. Anhold was a former legal secretary at the Lake County Courthouse. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Donaldson, she volunteered for Fun Follies of LaPorte, Real Services of Walkerton and Millers Merry Manor in Walkerton, providing entertainment and music. Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. (Central Time) at Rannells Funeral Home, Koontz Lake Chapel.
Burial will be at the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Donaldson, IN.
