Born in Wisconsin in 1866, the farmer Hattie Coon came to California in 1887, where she has since lived.
A resident of Ben Lomond for many years, Mrs. Baker was well known in church circles as she was an ardent worker.
Relatives who survive Mrs. Baker include one daughter and three sons: Mrs. Lorna Schupach of La Fonda, Orion Baker of San Francisco, Ariel Baker of Merced and Lynn Baker of Fairfield.
Other relatives include two sisters, Mrs. Mittie Rountree of Santa Cruz and Mrs. Daisy Soper, also of Santa Cruz. She was also the sister of the late Therza Scott.
Four brothers surviving include Elmer Coon of Santa Cruz, Chester Coon of San Jose, Bert and Herbert Coon of Ben Lomond. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
