Born February 23, 1927 in Leyte to Mr. and Mrs. Fortunato and Filomina de Veyra, Beying, 3rd of 10 siblings is survived by sisters Rogelia, Patricia, and Carmencita. She leaves behind husband Romulo with four children. Eldest daughter Edna, married to Rodel Rodis with children Carlo, Daniel, and Eric. 2ndeldest Sylvia, married to Frank Santos with children Philip and Nina. 3rdVictor, widower with Gina with children Gabrielle and Brian. 4th Ariel, single with dog Butters.
Beying was a very active child, preferring to play sports and climb trees rather than play the piano. She was Valedictorian graduate of her High School and Cum Laude Graduate in College with BA in Education. She taught Home Economics in Quiapo High School.
The family moved to San Francisco in 1970 where they stayed in Mt View, Daly City, and finally South San Francisco. Beying worked 23 years as a Lab Technician for a Pharmaceutical Company, Syntex in Palo Alto.
Beying was a very devout Catholic and was active with Holy Angels, Our Lady of Mercy, St Andrews, and St Augustine. Beying is remembered by many as being one of a very kind and selfless person. Her persona reflected her beauty. She always looks after her family, her grandchildren most of all, and assured their needs.
Visitation on Sunday April 25, 5pm-8pm with the Rosary Vigil at 6:00 at Duggan's Serra Mortuary, 500 Westlake Ave, Daly City, CA 94014. Funeral Mass on Monday April 26, 10am at Holy Angels Church, 107 San Pedro Rd, Colma, CA 94014, interment follows 1130am at Holy Cross Cemetery 1500 Mission Rd, Colma, CA 94014.
