VIOLA M. CREAGER, 83, of Eaton, died Wednesday, Sept. 17, at Reid Hospital in Richmond, Ind., after an extended illness.
A native and lifelong resident of Preble County, she was born June 24, 1914, the daughter of the late Jacob Samuel and Ida May (Wertz) Driver. She was a member of Eaton Baptist Temple. Her husband, Ray A. Creager, died July 23, 1976. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenton Driver; and a son, Larry Lee Creager.

Survivors include seven daughters, Doris Spurr of Enon, Vera Fudge, Sandy Renner and Darlene Dane, all of Eaton, Kay Hoops of Dayton, Joyce Smith of Pleasant Hill and Edith Biser of Celina; three sons, Ronald Creager, Tom Creager and Jerry Creager, all of Eaton; 17 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two sisters, Clara Coning of Columbus and Jennie Carrier of Eaton; and one brother, Keith Driver of Eaton.

Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 19, at Girton-Schmidt-Boucher Funeral Home, Eaton, with the Rev. Lowell T. Spencer officiating. Burial was in Sugar Grove Cemetery, West Alexandria.
