On Tuesday, July 25, 2017, with her faithful canine companion, Jasper by her side, Clara Marie Eads passed peacefully from this world in the comfort of her home. She was 67 years of age.

The second of four children, Clara Marie Hizer was born on Christmas Day, 1949, at Charmco, WV. She was the daughter of the late Homer Hansford Hizer (1924-1984) and Ruth Adaline Belcher-Hizer-Sinozich (1927-2006). Her stepfather, Charlie F. Sinozich (1925-1991) has preceded her in death as well.

Clara Marie spent her childhood at Pax. She was a 1968 graduate of Mt. Hope High School. Clara retired as the supervisor of the PBX Switchboard at Raleigh General Hospital. She has 30 years of service. She will be remembered for that beautiful smile. In her leisure time she enjoyed reading spiritual novels.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 24 years, Clifford Eads; brother, Wayne Hizer and his wife Evelyn Hizer of Oak Hill, and David Hizer and his wife Rucee Ann Hizer of Mt. Hope; sister, Naomi Hizer-Smith of Beckley; nieces, Shana Leigh and Anna Marie; and stepdaughters, Marilyn Eads-Blythe and her husband Adam Blythe, and Anna Eads-Buckner.

Clara Marie and Clifford worshiped at the Hollywood Missionary Baptist at MacArthur. This Sunday, July 30, 2017 at 11:00 am the Sunday services will be dedicated to Clara Marie. Come and honor her memory and be a part of her Home Going Service. Pastor Rick Martin will be officiating.
