Richard E. (Dick) Flynn, age 75, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully from Pulmonary Fibrosis on December 12, 2013. Preceded in death by parents, Earl and Mabel Flynn & Alvin Scherber (father in-law). He is survived by wife, Claire (Scherber); and children, Tim (Linda), Angie Parker (Chad Hoffer), Dan, Megan (Jeff) Merricks, Erin (Tim) Fitze, Melissa (daughter in-law); 10 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; sisters, Pat Kostelnik, Kathleen (Roger) Hattling, Joyce (Jim) Lindfors; mother in-law, Gertrude Scherber; and many other relatives and friends. Dick had a dedicated 50 year career in wholesale floor covering at Carson Pirie Scott, Florstar, & Royal Scot.

He was a proud 4th degree Knights of Columbus member. His greatest joy was his family, golfing, traveling, and weekends at Pathfinder. He also loved listening to Jazz, especially while solving Sudoku puzzles.

Funeral Mass Tuesday 10 AM at Nativity of Mary Catholic Church, 9900 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington. Visitation Monday 5-8 PM at Gill Brothers Funeral Home, 9947 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington, and 1 hour prior to service at church. Inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery.
