Bertha M. Bland Dies at Age 66

Funeral services for Bertha M. Bland, 66, will be held from the Prineville Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. Monday, it was announced today. Mrs. Bland, a resident of Bend, died Friday morning at Prineville General Hospital. Rev. Fred R. Decker, of the Church of God, will conduct the services. Burial will be in the Gray Butte Cemetery.

A native of Kansas, Mrs. Bland had been a resident of Central Oregon for the past 49 years. She came to the State of Oregon in 1888.

She is survived by her husband, Robert W. Bland of Bend, two daughters, Mrs. Gilbert Long, Carroll Acres, and Mrs. Ralph Moffitt of Prineville, and two sons, Robert Bland of Bend and Fred Gibson of Fall Creek, Oregon. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Mrs. James Van Huffell, Bend, and Bonnie and Bobby Moffitt of Prineville.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Crain, Andrew Bromley, J.L. Audrain, George Hamilton, George Rufener and Ralph Kellison.
