James and Agnes had the following known children:
1) George Gordon (1841-1929) who left Northern Ireland and settled in Fairgove, Tuscola County, Michigan, Tuscola County, Michigan. His wife was Ellen Kirk.
2) Jane Gordon (1844-1910);
3) Nathaniel Gordon (1844-1871);
4 Nancy "Agnes" Gordon (b. 1845);
5) James Gordon (1846-1941), who married Grace McGrillis;
6) Rebecca Gordon (1848-1939), who married _______ Baker;
7) William Gordon (1851–1896);
8) Robert Gordon (1852-1934), who married Elizabeth Page;
9) John Gordon (1855-1940), who married Emma Eliza Lott;
10)Mary Elizabeth Gordon (1856-1959), who married ________ McDonald;
11) Margaret Gordon (1856-1889), who married William Clifton;
12)Reese Rosetta Gordon (1962-1919).
Agnes and her husband James arrived in Queensland, Australia from County Antrim in Northern Ireland in 1866 on the "Maryborough". They were accompanied by eleven of the above children. (One, George Gordon, had previously emigrated to the United States.) After disembarking in Brisbane on August 18, 1866, they went north to settle in the Bowen District on a property they called "Gordon Glen".
Agnes passed away at her home in Gordon Glen (near Bowen) on June 19, 1893.
