KITCHEN EVA VILLA (CHAPMAN) age 103 of Troy died suddenly on April 27, 2010 in Henry Ford Hospital. She was born February 5, 1907 in Lima Center, Wisconsin to L. Willard and Ida Chapman. She married Floyd Kitchen on July 3, 1925 in Detroit. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1984. They were preceded in death by 2 sons, Earl Harold and Jack Robert. Eva lived in Goodells, Michigan for over 60 years growing fresh vegetables and beautiful flowers. She is remembered well as a Sunday School teacher at Goodells Gospel Church for many years. Surviving are her two sons, Floyd Donald (Wanda) Kitchen, and James Rodney Kitchen, eight grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. Although her family will miss her, at the same time they rejoice knowing she has reached her goal of eternity with her Lord Jesus Christ. A funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Sunday in the County Park Bible Church, 8435 County Park Drive, Goodells with visiting beginning at 1 p.m. There will also be visitation on Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Smith Family Funeral Home – North, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron. Immediately following services at church a graveside committal service will take place at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.
