Kathryn, a lifelong resident of Springfield was a homemaker. She had previously been employed at the Sangamon County Circuit Clerks Office, Department of Public Health, City of Springfield and Bell Telephone. She was a member of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, daughter: Marva Kay Tate, grandson, Mike Young and four brothers: Thomas, Howard, Donald and Louis Knox.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-four great grandchildren, four great great grandchildren and four brothers: Charles "Carroll" Knox and Lawrence, Paul and Joe Knox.
Memorial Mass at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. Burial at Camp Butler National Cemetery.
