Jean A. Cooper, 83, of Wellsboro, Pa., passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Jean was born June 27, 1928, in Blossburg, Pa., a daughter of Benjamin and Hazel (House) Kreger.

She was the wife of the late Bernard Cooper who died in 1993. Jean was the owner/operator of Cottage Crafts for 30 years and had been employed at Corning Glass in Wellsboro. She was a member of the Asaph Methodist Church.

Jean is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David R. and Kay Cooper, Mark B. and Connie Cooper, Daniel J. and Gina Cooper, all of Wellsboro, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan J. and Douglas Patt of Wellsboro, Pa., Beth A. and Douglas Cohick of Nauvoo, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dean and Susan Kreger of Morris, Pa., Robert Kreger of Liberty, Pa.; and her loving companion, Bobby Cochran, of Liberty, Pa.

Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2011, from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pa. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Sherri Butters officiating.

Burial will be in Middlebury Union Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Jean's memory to Laurel Hospice, 24 Walnut St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
